Good clean hotel well situated if you need to shop or forage for food. Hot tub, gym etc. Room very comfortable

The Holiday Inn Express was clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a large variety of things and the hotel amenities were up to par. Staff was very welcoming and courteous.
Had a great stay at the Holiday Inn on a recent business trip. It's nice and close to grocery store, Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart and lots of fast food places if that's what you're into. Service was quick at the front desk and the lady was friendly. My room was clean and had all the amenities that I needed for good night stay. There is a large breakfast area with lots of different options including hot breakfast. The only downfall was I like to use the gym since I'm on the road all the time and the gym equipment is really old and in need of replacement.
I stay at Holiday Inns all over North America. I prefer it because of their beds and they are usually spotless. So of course I told my wife to book it, spend the extra money because they had a hot tub (kids need something to do). The day I was to drive I called to make sure things were still good due to flooding in the town and asked if their hot tub was working. She said it was. Fast forward 5 hours when we arrived and started the check in. My wife asked the SAME girl i had talked to in the morning if the hot tub was working. She had to ask another girl if it was and we got a "no its not". It's been broken all week. Just super. Girl was super rude about it as well. I expressed a bit of frustration and quickly moved down the road. When we left my 13 year old said one of the girls pointed to me and made the "he's crazy" sign to her head behind my back. All I said was "well that sucks I asked if it was working 5 hours ago" and was a bit upset we had to find another hotel. Lucky I didnt see it. Both girls were rude and unprofessional. Plus the lobby was in a horrible state. Tempted to file a complaint higher up just due to the employees attitude.
